Hi, I live in a cottage on Hunterston Castle Estate in West Kilbride, Ayrshire. The Estate is run and managed by Savills Estate Agents in Dumfries. There were scenes of interest filmed here on the Estate. Each time Clare went back to her old life and she was in a house sitting by the fire and all the walls were wood panelled with a winding staircase, that was in the Big House on the estate where the Hunter family lived. There was also a scene where Jamie lived in a room above a Brothel, that room was in a Cottage next to the Castle. The scenery on the way down here is stunning you see Dunoon, Rothesay, Arran and Millport. Maybe you could contact Savills and ask if the Estate could be added to your route for Outlander enthusiasts.
Kind regards
Kirsten Wood.
