πŸš— Need a car for this road trip?

If you don’t have your own car, I’d really recommend renting one β€” it gives you the flexibility to stop at each waterfall and explore at your own pace.

I usually use DiscoverCars to compare prices and find the best deals across different rental companies.

πŸ‘‰ It’s really easy to use:

  • Compare multiple providers in one place
  • Cheaper than booking direct
  • Free cancellation on most options
  • Their 3rd party insurance is a lot cheaper
  • They have a great customer service for claims (though I hope you won’t have to use it!

πŸ…ΏοΈ Parking: At the Wensleydale Creamery

    πŸ—ΊοΈ Things To Do:

    • Go to the Wensleydale Creamery. You can either opt for a tour during which you’ll learn how the cheese is made, or simply go to the shop and sample the cheese. They also have a cafΓ© with an outdoor space.
    • Go to Hardraw Force waterfall
    • Visit the Dales Countryside Museum
    • Wander around the town (there are loads of cafΓ©s, pubs and little shops)
    • Drive the Buttertubs pass to Thwaite

πŸ’‘ My Top Tip: Park at the creamery, it’s free, and then walk to the village from there via the Pennine Way and St Margaret’s Church (it only takes 10 minutes).
